I. Preface It is known that the acidic gas fields in China are mostly distributed in the western part of the Yangtze Platform. The strata are Sinian, Triassic and Jurassic. The content of hydrogen sulfide is less than 10%. There are no reports in other areas. Recently, the HuBei Oil Campaign Command found a high-H2S gas reservoir somewhere in North China, which is an important contribution to opening up new sulfur sources in our country. The United States, Canada, France and the Soviet Union are all the major countries that recover sulfur from sour natural gas.
