2008年我国苯乙烯产能已达到325.4万吨/年,随着新扩建项目的陆续完成,预计2011年产能或将超过600万吨/年,届时将能极大地缓解国内供需矛盾,我国的苯乙烯产业发展也将更趋成熟。然而,当前的经济危机对行业发展造成影响,如产品价格暴跌、需求增长减缓、企业盈利空间缩小等,不过,随着国家经济刺激政策效果的逐步显现以及石化产业调整振兴规划的实行,国内苯乙烯市场或将在2009年上半年走出低谷。
