Petroleum emulsions are generally water-in-oil forms in which fine droplets of naturally occurring water or brine are dispersed in an oil as a continuous phase. These emulsions are usually very stable, and will not be mediated by long-term storage. This article deals with the processing of petroleum emulsions encountered during the recovery of crude oil in order to separate the oil from the water. Emulsified petroleum-based demulsifier UH6535 is a water-in-oil emulsion that is surface-active at the water-oil interface that can cause or assist emulsion demulsification. Emulsified Petroleum Emulsion UH6535 is a more effective demulsifier than other products. It is much better than pure solvent type UH6535, which makes it very useful in industry.
