廉洁是是中华民族的传统美德之一,廉洁文化不仅是中华传统文化的重要表现,也是中国特色社会主义先进文化的重要组成部分。“高校廉洁文化”是结合高校特点提出的一个概念;高校廉洁文化建设是一个系统工程,应从学校行政和教学、教师和学生多角度出发,从精神层面、物质层面、制度层面,以德治、法治为主要途径进行。由内而外——“德治”方面,引导崇德重礼;由外而内——“法治”方面,引导遵纪守法。
