团头鲂又名武昌鱼。与其体形相近的长春鳊、三角鲂同属鲤科鱼类,在我国分布很广。北起黑龙江、南至珠江、海南岛,都有分布。本文将团头鲂的形态、繁殖与饲养概述如后,以飨读者。 形态:以往中外许多鱼类学者认为,中国的鳊鱼类分别属于两个属,即鳊属和鲂属,鳊属中仅一个种,即鳊鱼。鲂属中约有2～3个种,其分布在我国大陆的,也只有一个种,即为鲂鱼。现在通过对湖北梁子湖产的鲂鱼的观察和鉴别,知道鲂属实际存在着两个不同的种:一种俗名叫“三角鳊”,另一种俗名叫“团头鳊”。“三角鳊”即三角鲂,学名鲂鱼。“团头鳊”其学名定为“团头鲂”。它的形态特征是:体高而侧扁,略呈斜方形。侧线完全。头小,锥形;吻圆钝。口小,端位,口裂呈弧形。上、下颌有薄角质层。头后部急剧隆起,腹部在腹鳍基前向上斜起,在腹鳍
