The structural safety threat posed by the earthquake disaster is a very special safety factor. It has unpredictable and unavoidable characteristics, such as serious damage and long time-delay. In recent decades, the world has witnessed a series of catastrophic earthquakes such as the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995, the Sumatra Earthquake in Indonesia in 2004, the May 12 Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008 and the March 11 earthquake in 2011 The Great East Japan Sea earthquake all caused devastating damage to a large number of buildings and bridge structures, bringing huge disaster to the disaster areas.
