The expressions of the crystal-field potential energies and perturbation matrix elementscorresponding to the point symmetries C_(4v),D_(2h)and C_i are given in this paper.The crystal-fieldtransition frequencies of Cu~(2+) ions in metatorbernite,conichalcite and turquoise calculatedby using these expressions are also reported.The calculated results are essential]y consistentwith experimental data.
