《地方戏艺术》1987年第一期登载朱华固的《名演员群——振兴戏曲的坚实基础》。文中说,在一片“戏曲危机”声中,出现“裴艳玲”热,出现“任根心热”。这是为什么呢?剧目虽是重要的,这无可非议。但它们的成功在于有出类拔萃的演员。戏曲艺术任何一个方面的改革都离不开演员队伍这个坚实的基础,戏曲的兴衰很大程度上是演员人才的兴衰。一个剧团要有名演员才有艺术生机,一个剧种要有一个名演员群才能产生艺术的爆发力,形成庞大的基本观众群。因此,经常保持一个具有“生态平衡”的名演员群,是戏曲永葆青春的标志。戏曲艺术说到底就是以
