这几年,我仔细观察那些做得好的和做得差的公司,发现他们的差距与其说是执行力的强弱,不如说是执行力的方向。在做得好的公司,员工的执行力是横向的,即以满足客户的需要为目标;在做得差的公司,员工的执行力是纵向的,即以满足上级的需要为目标:这在没落的跨国企业里很常见,在国有企业就更普遍。在以纵向执行力为特点的公司,员工对领导唯命是从,至于这是不是符合公司的最大利益,则另当别论。
In recent years, I have carefully observed those well-done and poorly-performing companies and found that their gap is not so much execution as it is about execution. In a well-done company, the executive power of the staff is horizontal, that is, to meet the needs of customers as the goal; poor performance of the company, the staff’s executive power is vertical, that is, to meet the needs of their superiors as the goal: Declining multinationals are common, and state-owned enterprises are even more prevalent. In a company characterized by vertical executive force, employees are the only ones who are leaders. It is not altogether in the best interests of the company.
