平台转移是指小直径的基台连接于大直径的种植体平台上。平台转移区别于传统的平台对接,是对种植体平台与基台的连接方式进行的改进。最初这一现象的发生是由于20世纪宽直径种植体的问世而缺少与之匹配的基台部件,所以选择了小直径基台来修复此类种植体,而负荷后的放射线片显示这些种植体周围骨组织未发生吸收,反而保存了原有牙槽嵴顶的骨高度。
Platform transfer refers to the connection of small diameter abutments to large diameter implant platforms.
