China\'s textile and apparel exports decelerated in Au-gust, but remained within expectations. In August, the re-currence of the pandemic and rare large-scale rainstormsand floods in China had a negative impact on domesticconsumption and the service sector, and economic indica-tors showed a slowdown. Despite the lack of significantimprovement in overseas pandemic prevention and con-trol, combined with the effect of a high base, the growthrate of China\'s trade exports in goods slowed down in themonth, while imports fell from the previous month. The ex-port of textile and apparel showed negative year-on-year growth for three consecutive months, but the deceleration rate was not more than expected. The export of traditional categories of commodities still maintained growth year-on-year and compared with the same period in 2019.
