日本在水稻上报道了4个抗白叶枯病本国菌系的显性基因Xal、Xa2、Xa3、Xa-W)和Xa-Kg。国际水稻研究所的遗传研究表明籼稻品种对菲律宾病原菌系的抗性迄今至少由8个位点上的基因,即Xa-4、xa-5、Xa-6、Xa-7、Xa-8、Xa-9)、X-10和Xa-11所控制。这些基因不能直接与日本报道的4个基因相比较。因为他们分别采用本地菌系进行鉴定。这些基因的等位性测定也必须道过交换各自试验
Japan reported four dominant genes Xal, Xa2, Xa3, Xa-W) and Xa-Kg in rice against bacterial blight.
