通过对20世纪40年代以来美国外语教育政策、法规以及重大事件的回顾与梳理,发现美国外语教育战略的主要特征表现为以国家利益为取向,用能力标准来引领,主要目的是为了维护和巩固其在全球政治、经济、军事等领域的“霸主”地位。但是从美国外语教育的现状来看,外语战略实施的效果并不理想,外语人才仍然处于紧缺状态,究其根源,传统的“文化痼疾”显然“难辞其咎”。研究美国外语教育战略演变对于我国具有重要的启示和借鉴价值。
Through reviewing and combing the foreign language education policies, laws and regulations and major events in the United States since the 1940s, it is found that the main features of the foreign language education strategy in the United States are manifested in the interests of the state and guided by the standards of ability. The main purpose is to maintain and consolidate Its “overlord” status in the global political, economic, military and other fields. However, judging from the status quo of foreign language education in the United States, the effectiveness of foreign language strategy implementation is not satisfactory and foreign language professionals are still in a shortage situation. The root cause of this is that the traditional “culture of disease” apparently “blame ”. Studying the evolution of American foreign language education strategy has important enlightenment and reference value for our country.
