One of America’s top circuses will have no elephants in its shows after 2018. All its elephants will stop doing their jobs and live in an animal conservation （保护） center. They needn’t do their jobs there. One hundred years ago, it was OK for animals to be in circuses, but not today. People are worried about them. The circus will continue to use other animals.
Many groups have said no to circuses. One group says circus elephants have a bad life. They have illnesses. It wants the elephants to stop doing their jobs now. Many places in the USA have banned （禁止） to use elephants in circuses. It is hard for circuses to go on tour. Circus owners say they understand the public’s feeling.
