据1982年7118—2冬麦和前进一号春麦等三个品种的测定,后熟作用一般可使千粒重增2—4克。不同品种,或同一品种不同收获和脱粒时间,其产量结果截然不同。因此研究小麦后熟作用,正确运用后熟作用预测适宜的收获和脱粒期,是一项具有普遍推广价值的增收措施。小麦收获期与后熟作用有密切关系。若未完成生理成熟即收获,营养损失大,千粒重不高,造成减产;收获过迟,如在黄熟末进行,也因“回斤”而导致千粒重下降。据1983年6个品种9个点的测定结果如下表:
