A national seminar on flood control and disaster mitigation jointly organized by the Training Center of Chinese and Foreign Social and Cultural Exchanges and the Research Center for Disaster Reduction of the Ministry of Water Resources was held in Beijing from April 2 to April 9. A total of 167 participants attended the seminar, including leading cadres, experts and engineering technicians from flood control departments of flood control departments of 22 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions throughout the country, some basin departments of the Ministry of Water Resources, institutions of higher learning, research institutes and some large enterprises .
