When he was born into a scholar’s family as Zha Liangyong in 1924 in Yuanhua Town, Haining county of eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, nobody knew the boy would grow up to be known to the world as Jin Yong, the most popular Chinese kungfu novelist with an extremely enormous Chinese readership all over the world. Though famous today, however, not many people know Jin Yong’s family origin in Zhejiang Province. Less still do people know how Jin grew up there in his hometown.
