Abstract Objective To evaluate the value of local image variances (LIV) in 7 T MR magnetic resonance weighted imaging (SWI) before surgery for the quantitative analysis of low-signal microvascular structures in glioma signs. Methods We prospectively collected adult patients with neuro-radiological suspicious diffuse infiltrative gliomas underwent routine MRI and 7 T SWI. After tumor segmentation, SWI-LIV was used to quantitatively analyze the SWI low signal inside the tumor.
