George Bly is one of the most prominent critics of the Geneva school. He put forward a conscious theory of criticism in “Criticism Consciousness”. The theory holds that literary criticism is essentially a critique of consciousness and an endorsement of the main body of criticism and the main body of creation by finding out its unique form of consciousness through the author’s “I think”. This is a phenomenological literary criticism, which provides a unique perspective and method for our literary criticism.
