国家教委颁布的《九年制义务教育初中语文教学大纲》及省教委制订的《各科教学指导纲要》在对学生书写能力的要求上,强调在语文各项训练和活动中(当然也包括写字训练),有机渗透思想情感教育和审美情趣教育,且在近几年的高考中以量化形式(书写占5分)考查学生的书写能力。上海市1998年已率先在中小学建立写字等级考试制度,所有这些都说明提高书写能力,是语文素质教育内容之一。
