阅读是人们获取信息的一种重要途径,也是人类社会文化交流的一种重要形式。提高中学生的阅读理解能力是中学英语教学的一个主要目标和要求。英语阅读理解是考查和测试学生英语能力的一种主要形式。各类英语考试阅读理解题量逐年增多,知识面逐年拓宽,这充分体现了教育界已经从原来只侧重对语法和语言知识的教学转向了对学生实际应用能力的培养。这对于中学英语教学来说是一大进步。但在现实的英语教学中,教材上的阅读课往往注重对知识点的讲解而忽略了对阅读策略的系统训练,所以学生的阅读水平没有明显提高。所以在英语教学中,教师除了合理有效地使用教科书以外,还应该积极利用其他课程资源。
Reading is an important way for people to obtain information and is also an important form of cultural exchange in human society. Improving middle school students’ reading comprehension is a major goal and requirement of secondary school English teaching. English reading comprehension is a major form of examining and testing students’ English proficiency. The reading comprehension questions of all kinds of English exams have been increasing year by year, and the knowledge aspect has been broadened year by year. This fully shows that the education circles have turned their attention from the teaching of grammar and language knowledge to the training of students’ practical ability. This is a big step forward for secondary school English teaching. However, in the real English teaching, reading materials on textbooks often focus on the explanation of knowledge points and ignore the systematic training of reading strategies, so the reading level of students is not significantly improved. Therefore, in English teaching, in addition to the rational and effective use of textbooks, teachers should also actively use other curriculum resources.
