墨西哥94—95年的金融危机一度将墨西哥民族电影工业抛进低谷。1996年随着经济形势的逐步稳定,墨西哥政府增加了对电影事业的投资。特别是著名中青年导演迭戈·洛佩斯出任“墨西哥电影委员会”主席之后,提出了明确的方针,为重振民族电影带来了希望。以阿图罗·里普斯坦和卡洛斯·卡雷拉为代表的老少两代电影工作者携手奋斗,电影创作呈现生机。虽然,这一年中“墨西哥电影委员会”只投资拍摄出8部长片,但是这几部制作精良的影片在国际电影节上放出夺目的光彩。1996年墨西哥各类影片获国际奖37项,其中一流国际电影节17项,二流国际电影节14项。墨西哥影
Mexico’s 1994-95 financial crisis put the Mexican national film industry to the trough. In 1996, with the gradual stabilization of the economic situation, the Mexican government increased its investment in the movie industry. In particular, the famous young director Diego Lopez as “Mexico Film Commission” chairman, put forward a clear principle, to revitalize the national film has brought hope. Artwriters Arturo Ripostan and Carlos Carrera represented the young and the old, two generations of filmmakers working together to create a lively movie. Although this year the Mexican Film Council invested only 8 feature films, these well-made films have shown their dazzling brilliance at the International Film Festival. In 1996, Mexico won 37 international awards in various films, including 17 first-class international film festivals and 14 second-rate international film festivals. Mexican shadow
