The test was conducted in Decatur, Illinois, in order to evaluate the effect of ultra-low-volume malathion spraying on the natural populations of Culex pipiens and C.restuans. The test area was flat and divided into treatment area (1, 2) and control area (1a, 2a). The area of treatment area 1 and control area 1a were about 400 m × 900 m.
