本世紀三十年代以来,药物化学的发展,突出地表現在大量化学治疗新药的发現,并在传染病防治中获得巨大的成績。由于病源性寄生物抗药性的产生,和現有药物尚存在着一定的缺点,以及病毒性疾病至今尚无肯定有效的药物,所以临床上要求設計并合成更多更好的新药,另一方面化疗药物若干設計原理应用于抗癌等药物設計中,已取得了不少有益的結果,因而也要求不断地总結化疗药物設計的經驗,用于其他难于控制的疾病的新药設計方面。
