Japanese media recently disclosed that Abe’s government will convene a seminar on the theme of maritime security held by diplomatic and defense officials of ASEAN countries and will promote Japan’s defense equipment. This will be the first time for Japan to hold a meeting with the ASEAN countries after the Abe government decided to ease restrictions on arms exports to discuss arms exports.
