按国内外有关法规,饲养环境的氨浓度应不超过20ppm。我们通过对常用的SS-1-B型斜口小鼠笼改进设计:将箱体左右两侧距笼底6cm处,水平钻成两排共12个小孔(r=0.3cm,小孔的数量也可根据笼具的规格不同而定)。孔与孔之间左右上下间隔均为1cm。改进后的鼠笼内微环境氨浓度比原先明显降低。4只刚断乳的雄性NC裸鼠饲养72h,氨浓度从原来的20.14±3.52ppm降至12.15±2.10ppm(t=3.18,n=6,P<0.01)。又发现:改进后的鼠笼内温湿度与饲养室内温湿度更趋于一致,这样,实验动物所需环境温湿度也就更接近最适值或目标值。另外,改进后的笼具便于消毒。因培育裸鼠的笼具常常数只套叠一起进行高压蒸汽灭菌,改进后的笼具能他处于死角的垫料消毒更彻底。
