The “Cross-Strait Food Industry Exchange Symposium” sponsored by the Food Science and Technology Society of the Taiwan Strait, and organized by the Wuxi Institute of Light Industry and the Taiwan Hsinchu Food Industry Development Institute was held at the Wuxi Institute of Light Industry from November 4th to 6th, 1993. About 370 delegates from 19 provinces and cities and nearly 80 representatives from Taiwan attended the conference. The conference focused on the status quo, development trends, food additives, enzyme preparations, fruit and vegetable processing, and frozen food status of the cross-strait food industry.
