斑点叉尾鮰(Ictaluyus punctatus)隶属鲶形目、鮰科、斑点叉尾鮰属,俗名沟鲶、河鲶、美洲鲶。广泛分布于北美中部和东部的淡水和咸淡水水域中。是大型的淡水鲶类,最大个体可达35 kg。斑点叉尾鲴的生存温度为0℃～38℃,生长适温为5℃～35℃,最适生长温度15℃～32℃;对水体溶氧的要求在3 mg/L以上;适应pH 6～8.9,最适pH 6.8～7.5;适应的盐度范围为0.1～8。该鱼食性杂,喜欢在弱光条件下摄食。幼鱼主要以水生昆虫为食,
