本文研究了应用全息光栅激励电磁表面波的一般理论与一些实验研究的结果。应用光栅的主要优点是消除了棱镜耦合问题。在测定银的介电常数的实验中证明此理论能很好与实验相符。文中列出的实验结果和一些方案设计表明它具有开拓的应用前景如:测定各向同性或各向异性介质的介电常数,界面吸收层的折射率或厚度变化,调制器和定向器等。
This paper studies the general theory and some experimental results of using holographic grating to excite electromagnetic surface wave. The main advantage of using a grating is to eliminate the prism coupling problem. Experiments in the determination of the dielectric constant of silver prove that this theory works well with the experiment. The experimental results and some scheme designs presented in this paper indicate that it has open-ended applications such as determining the dielectric constant of isotropic or anisotropic media, the refractive index or thickness change of the interface absorbing layer, modulators and directioners.
