甲午战争是日本为了灭亡中国而发动的一场战争,战后获得了极大的好处,但是由于俄国的干涉,迫使其不得不将辽东半岛归还中国,既而俄国又将其强占。这就危及了日本在朝鲜的既得利益。日本为了从俄国手中夺回辽东半岛和巩固在朝鲜的地位,继而发动了日俄战争。可以说,日俄战争是日本为了争得甲午战争未得的利益而进行的,因此,它是甲午战争的继续和发展。
The Sino-Japanese War was a war launched by Japan to destroy China. It gained great benefits after the war, but because of Russia’s intervention, it forced it to return the Liaodong Peninsula to China, leaving Russia to seize it again. This threatens Japan’s vested interest in North Korea. In order to seize Liaodong Peninsula from Russia and consolidate its position in North Korea, Japan launched the Russo-Japanese War. It can be said that the Russo-Japanese War was conducted by Japan for the sake of winning the unpaid interests of the Sino-Japanese War. Therefore, it is the continuation and development of the Sino-Japanese War.
