当代中国阶层分化的发展,改变了思想政治教育运行的社会生态和文化生态。阶层分化所导致的断裂、紧张和冲突,在社会心理、阶层关系、主流文化等层面形成了强烈的冲击和震荡,提出了加强思想政治教育社会整合功能的时代课题。在阶层分化的新形势下,思想政治教育的社会整合功能主要表现在利益整合、政治整合和文化整合等方面。思想政治教育能够通过利益沟通、利益协调、利益认同发挥利益整合的功能,通过党内教育、政治沟通、政治社会化发挥政治整合的功能,通过引导社会心理、建设主流文化、引领社会思潮发挥文化整合的功能。
