世博会是这样一个实验场:通过短暂的展期,文化的平等展示与多元的智慧撞击带给观者长久的启发。盛会中的各国场馆代表着各自的文化体系,充满了丰富的信息。他们各自解释对世博会的理解,吸引人们去比较、解读。韩国馆的设计以“融合”为主题,塑造出“符号”和“空间”的融合体:符号即为空间,空间即为符号。韩国馆试图成为世博园中充满欢乐的场所,并呈现出强烈的国家色彩,建筑恰如观念艺术装置,以文字为媒介,表达国家的独特文化魅力和对文化独立性的追求。韩国馆位于世博园A区,毗邻日本馆和沙特阿拉伯馆。该馆占地6 000m~2,是世博会各个场馆基地里较大的区域之一。基地的周边环境优美,能很好地观赏到远处的江景与上海市区摩天大楼的天际线,同时也可完整地将崭新形象呈现给对岸的观众。韩国馆的设计表达了处于全球化背景下的东亚文化圈对于城市生活的理解。建筑表皮由两种要素组成:韩国字
Expo is such an experimental field: through a short period of exhibitions, the cultural equality of the show and the impact of multiple wisdom to bring the viewer long-term inspiration. All the venues in the event represent their own cultural system, full of rich information. They each explain their understanding of the Expo and attract people to compare and interpret them. The design of the Korean pavilion is based on the theme of “fusion”, which creates a fusion of “symbols” and “spaces”: symbols are spaces and spaces are symbols. The Korea Pavilion tries to be a place full of joy in the Expo, displaying a strong national color. The building is just like a conceptual art installation, which uses words as a medium to express the country’s unique cultural charm and pursuit of cultural independence. South Korea Pavilion is located in the A zone, adjacent to the Japan Pavilion and Saudi Arabia Pavilion. The museum covers an area of 6 000m ~ 2, is one of the larger venues in the various venues in the Expo. The beautiful surroundings of the base provide a good view of the skyline of the river in the distance and the skyscrapers in downtown Shanghai, as well as a completely new image to the audience on the other side.
