二萜的基本骨架达20个碳,种类繁多,有链状二萜、单环二萜、双环二萜、三环二萜及四环二萜等等。从所查文献看前四种类型化合物报道甚少,而后者较为常见。一般以从唇形科香茶菜属植物中分离出来的四环二萜为最多,因为唇形科香茶菜属植物在医学上具有较重要的药理及治疗活性,在临床上均具有清热解毒,消炎止痛、抗癌、抑菌等,因而我们有必要对这类植物的有效成分进行研究。本文讨论它的两种基本骨架构型。
