Drawing lessons from various dephosphorization methods of alloy, this paper systematically studied and explored the dephosphorization of ferromanganese, and based on the analysis of thermodynamics. On this basis, we put forward our own opinions on dephosphorization of ferromanganese. Experimental and thermodynamic analysis shows that the oxidative dephosphorization of the lime and soda slag systems does not work well with liquid ferromanganese and there is intense interaction between the soda and the manganese melt. More than about 5% of manganese in molten iron (lime slag) or about 15 ~ 20% (soda slag), dephosphorization efficiency significantly worsened. Used in inert gas flow
