近来很多教育工作者提出全面發展与因材施教有矛盾,而且列举不少事例为証。我認为这兩者不应該有矛盾,也不会發生矛盾。除非它們之間的关系沒有摆得恰当,或者对它們發生了某些誤解,因而在实际执行中遇到若干困难,發生若干疑问,就以为两者有矛盾。全面發展和因材施教一般地说都是属于教育方針性的,倘若严格地来区别,全面发展是教育要求,而因材施教是教育方法(不仅仅是教学法)。前者是培养学生的目标,后者是教师应該如何培养学生。这兩者之间,应该結合,可以結合,而且只有很好的结合,才能堵养出合乎国家要求的人才。說一个比喻吧。我們办任何一件事,处理任何一个问题,总有这么兩方面:一方向是主观的要求,另一方面是按照各种具体条件,来拟訂办法和实施步驟,然后再按照客
Recently, many educators put forward the contradiction between the all-round development and teaching students according to their aptitudes, and cite a lot of examples as evidence. I think there should be no contradiction between the two and there should be no contradiction.
