本试验包括了种植在木制育苗箱的三个甘蔗品种,以测定根的伸展与叶和分蘖特性在品种间的差异,并说明根部和地上部生长之间的内在关系。试验结果清楚地表明了根千物量的增长、根的分布、根的模式以及叶和分蘖特性上的品种差异。Phil 56226比其它两个品种(Phil 58260和 Phil 6421)其根系具有伸长较深的习性。发现根干重与苗干物质重量之间存有极显著的正相关。品种的明显差异在于根的 CEC(CationExchange Capacity.阳离子交换量),它是以 m.e(毫克当量/株)而不是以 m.e/100克根来表示的。以 m.e/株来表示的根系阳离子交换量是随株龄的增加而增加的。
This experiment included three varieties of sugarcane planted in wooden nursery boxes to determine differences in root extension and leaf and tiller characteristics among breeds and to illustrate the intrinsic relationship between root and shoot growth. The test results clearly demonstrate the root-knot growth, root distribution, root pattern, and variety differences in leaf and tiller characteristics. Phil 56226 has a more elongated root system than the other two varieties (Phil 58260 and Phil 6421). The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between root dry weight and dry matter weight. The obvious difference in varieties lies in the CEC (cation exchange capacity) of the roots, which is expressed in m.e (milliequivalents per strain) rather than in m.e./100 gms. Root cation exchange capacity in m.e / plant increased with increasing plant age.
