前不久，中国著名核物理学家、中科院院士、曾当过6年复旦大学校长的杨福家教授，被推选为英国著名学府——诺丁汉大学的第五任校长。以前只有英国王室成员和有爵位的人才能担任大学校长职务，杨福家破了这个先例。祖籍浙江镇海、1936年出生的杨福家早年毕业于复旦大学物理系。
Not long ago, Professor Yang Fujia, a famous Chinese nuclear physicist and academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Fudan University who had been a 6-year Fudan University president, was elected as the 5th president of Nottingham University, a famous British institution. Previously only the British royal family members and knighthood to be the president of the university, Yang Fu broke the precedent. Native of Zhejiang Zhenhai, born in 1936, Yang Fu graduated early Fudan University Department of Physics.
