In the 1960s, the National Institute of Coal Mine Machinery has developed an АПУ1-type high-efficiency automatic loading device with chain gate for coal loading of railway vehicles. Depending on the speed of the vehicle moving, the time required for loading various types of truck with the above-mentioned loading device with 1 m diameter gate takes 3 to 5 minutes.
