伍棠棣(1921—2015)是中国著名心理学家、教育家,对中国的教育学和心理学发展做出了巨大贡献。他与李伯黍、吴福元共同主编了高等师范院校公共必修课教材《心理学》。这本教材影响广泛,累计印数120余万册。他从心理学入手,深入教学一线,长期扎根北京景山学校,瞄准学生的成长做研究,参与多套小学语文实验教材的编写。伍棠棣的研究风格可以归纳为:不计名利;高标准、严要求;学术自由,平等探索。他对自己严格要求,对他人平等相待,对后学包容,做研究没有功利心。他的一生历经坎坷,他的专业见识、精神未能得到有效传播和传承,不能不令人深思和惋惜。
Ng Tong Di (1921-2015), a famous Chinese psychologist and educator, made great contributions to the development of pedagogy and psychology in China. He and Li Bo millet, Wu Fuyuan co-editor of Higher Normal Colleges public compulsory textbook “Psychology.” This textbook has a wide range of implications, accumulating more than 1.2 million copies. He started from psychology, depth teaching first-line, long-term rooted in Beijing Jingshan school, aimed at the growth of students to do research, participate in a number of sets of primary school language experimental teaching preparation. Wu Tong Di’s research style can be summarized as: ignoring fame and fortune; high standards and strict requirements; academic freedom, equal exploration. He has strict demands on himself, treats others equally, does not have utilitarian interest in studying after inclusion. Throughout his life’s ups and downs, his professional knowledge and spirit have not been effectively spread and inherited, which can not be thought-provoking and regrettable.
