自2003年秋季进入基础教育课程改革以来,平定县紧紧围绕“更新教育观念,提高教师素质,加大教育投入,改善办学条件;注重过程管理,提升教学质量———小学教育创特色、初中教育抓全面、高中教育创佳绩、各项工作谋发展”的指导思想和总体思路,在加大课程培训、搞好教育科研、强化校本研修、完善评价体系、加强队伍建设、提升管理水平、推进课程改革、提高教学质量、打造教育强县等方面做了一些工作,走出了一条具有平定特色的教育发展之路。
