DH Lawrence is one of the most unique and controversial British writers in the 20th century. He is versatile; complex character, rich writings, very attractive. Someone once linked his work to Impressionism, while others compared it with Fauvism, Cubism and Futurism. Few people, however, compare their work with expressionism. Of course, this is the reason: Lawrence never mentioned in his works any representative or representative of expressionism and expressionism, and it is clear that Lawrence did not know much about expressionism. The fact is that, as Brehon Mitchell pointed out: “Expressionism has almost zero impact on English theater, prose and fiction, and expressionism has not even been recognized by British critics in literature, let alone British novelists follow the example ... British commentators began to talk about expressionism around 1924, when expressionism has faded away in Germany, so it can be concluded that expressionism has little effect on English writers. ”
