The United States and the Soviet Union are planning to discuss the astronaut exchange flight this summer during the summit-level talks between President Bush and President Gorbachev. Since 1993, at least one more astronaut has been exchanged between the United States and the Soviet Union on the U.S. space shuttle and the USSR’s Mir space station respectively.
