我矿现有职工七百六十六人,家属一百七十八人。全矿各单位分布在十里矿区上,居住分散,而全矿只有三名医生,医疗工作不能适应实际需要。从一九七○年以来,矿党委对工人红医这一社会主义新生事物,给予热情支持,大力扶植,积极培养,使工人红医由二人发展到二十六人,他们是厂矿卫生革命的主力军,捍卫毛主席革命卫生路线的尖兵,是抓革命促生产的闯将。由于充分发挥了他们积极作用,进一步搞好了群防群治工作,提高了职工的健康水平,出勤率由过去的百分之九十左右,上升到百分之九十五,促进了矿山生产的发展。从一九七○年以来,年年超额完成了国家生产计划。这里我们着重谈谈培养工人红医的体会:
