On July 24, 2017, according to the Tass news agency, the Russian space crew at the ISS will put the first Russian 3D printing satellite “Tomsk-TPU-120” into space on August 17. The satellites were launched by astronauts Kirchhir and Ryazanski. “Tomsk-TPU-120 ” will work in space for 4 to 6 months, transmitting the stars, circuit and battery temperatures, and electronics parameters to the ground. Using these data, researchers monitor the state of the material to determine whether the materials can continue to be used to make the spacecraft.
