Traffic Engineering ▲ HKSAR Government Secretary for Transport Wu Rong-sik recently looked forward to the new century's railway construction in Hong Kong. The SAR Government will invest more than HK $ 200 billion in the next 15 years and construct 12 railways as the backbone of the overall transport system . After the completion of the construction project, the railway network will increase to more than 250 km, which is 70% more than the existing length. By then, more than 70% of the population and 80% of employed people can walk to the railway station on foot.
