The “OAS Optical Disk File Full-text Storage and Intelligent Retrieval System” jointly developed by the Central Archives, Beijing High Electric Optical Disk Company and the Renmin University of China Archives Institute passed the expert appraisal organized by the State Archives Bureau on July 18 in Beijing. The Appraisal Committee, headed by Luo Peilin, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and an electronic technologist, listened to the research report, the test review report and the system demonstration. After careful discussion, the appraisal committee considered that the system adopted the large-capacity optical disc drive as the external memory and adopted the successful development OFS CD-ROM document management integrated software, can provide a full set of management and inspection from the file directory to the full text
