The academic survey report released by the Spanish Ministry of Education in August last year targeted 9,000 first graders (6 years old) and 2nd graders (7 years old) in elementary schools. As a result, people in Spain’s Ministry of Education and in carrying out the new teaching curriculum were taken aback by the low level of academic achievement of their students. For example, 70% of children surveyed by children who can not accurately name a 12-month period and a 1-day name, and 60% do not know how to measure the length of an object. About 80% of people in reading ability can read the reading essay provided, but only 50% of them read it fluently. The standard written test for them, only one-third of the pass.
