本刊在1959年第8期发表了乌家培同志的“略论物质利益原则的性质”一文。此后,我们曾收到狄文同志“也谈物质利益原则的性质”的来稿;同时,乌家培同志本人也来信说,他在进一步学习党的文件以后,认为该文某些论述是不够全面的,有些提法是不够妥当的。例如:(1)关于物质利益原则的性质问题,他只着重论证了它的社会主义性质而没有明确指出它还保留着资产阶级式的权利的残余。(2)对政治掛帅与物质利益原则的相互关系问题,没有鲜明地强调政治是灵魂、政治是统帅。(3)关于物质利益原则消亡的条件问题,只提到利用物质利益原则来发展社会生产力,为在共产主义高级阶段消灭物质利益原则创造条件,而忽视了在社会主义建设时期,坚持政治掛帅,培养和发扬人民群众的共产主义精神的重要性。我们认为狄文同志“也谈物质利益原则的性质”一文,在基本内容上大致与乌家培同志的来信相同,但对问题的提法比较明确,阐述比较具体,因此把它发表出来,供讨论研究。
