The 7th National Symposium on Chemical Sensors jointly held by China Instrument Society and China Chemical Society was held in Shanghai Normal University from October 16 to October 19, 1997. This session is one of the academic exchanges in the field of chemical sensors with large scale and high academic level in our country in recent years. A total of 114 papers were received at the conference, including 110 domestic and foreign scientists and young scholars attending the conference, including W.R.Heineman, H.Jr.Mark from the United States, Prof. Aizawa Aizu and Academician Yu Ruqin from the Chinese Academy of Sciences
