一九五一年六月六日《人民日报》发表的《正确地使用祖国的语言,为语言的纯洁和健康而斗争》的社论,阐述了党中央正确使用汉语汉字、“关于纠正文字缺点”的指示精神,提出“只有学会语法、修辞和逻辑,才能使思想成为有条理的和可以理解的东西”,希望小学、中学或大学有“正式的内容完备的语法课程”,因而掀起了认真学习语法的热潮。由于当时没有一个语法教学的“共同纲领”,所以中小学语法教学曾出现过混乱现象。从语法研究的角度来说,语法学者对语言现象进行研究时,可以有不同的观点和分析方法,因而就形成了不同的语法体系。这是语法
